from Ashton Court Care Home
Our residents have been saying hello to new friends abroad
After the success of the Christmas card exchange, here at Ashton Court we have forged a relationship with a secondary school in northern Spain. That relationship is further developing with around 30 letters from from residents and staff being posted to the Spanish school children
Creepy crawlies and creatures visit Ashton Court
We have had some unusual guests when Discovery Zoo brought some of its creepy crawlies and creatures to visit our residents.
We hosted snakes, tarantulas, rats and even a large millipede as part of the home’s ever-evolving activities programme. Residents had the opportunity to learn all about the creatures from Discovery Zoo’s Paul Fenwick before having a chance to hold the creepy crawlies and creatures.
We have partnered with Oomph!
Oomph is a wellbeing platform that allows our residents to have access to a range of activities. Our residents will be able to see the activities available for the month, examples include, quizzes, things to make and more. Take a look at Oomph’s website for more information.
